Jose Maria Madiedo is PhD in Physics (Astrophysics) and PhD in Chemistry. He is currently Associated Doctor to the Institute of Astrophysics of Andalusia (IAA-CSIC). His research mainly focuses on the study of meteoroids, meteors, and meteorites. But also on the bodies in the Solar System associated to these materials. Most of his publications can be accessed by following this link.

His interest and fascination for meteorites has resulted in a wide collection of these extraterrestrial rocks. This private collection, which currently contains over 1000 specimens, is a very valuable tool for science and outreach.
